UPCYCLIING (noun):
the activity of making new objects out of old, used, or found things.
My name is Chelsie, aka The Wolf, and I am the creator of the Wolf Den Art Studio. The studio was created to exploit the beauty in all things “lost and found.” Almost all of my materials incorporate something that has been up-cycled. Rather than make a creation from something new, I love to give life to something someone has left behind.
It has taken me over a year, but I have finally found my niche, which is custom hats. I still do custom shelfs.
And yes I still grow plants if you need some of those my house is a jungle!
Back to the hats, each one is created by something that means a lot to me. However, custom hats are something personal to my clients, and to be able to collaborate with them almost means more, to bring joy to someone, that is something personal and unique brings me such joy!
My creations that are not personalized are and always will be, a family effort. By family I mean all of those who have touched my life through simply wandering around in their own simple gorgeous way.
The bones and tree aspects of my work are collected and found by my kids: Polar, Bear, and Coral… aka my dogos. Most of the wood creations you will see are from my backcountry friends and are made from avalanche fencing here in Colorado. That is why they seem to be unfinished. I love the look of the natural weathering of time and harsh conditions.
The crystals, macrame, and textiles are up-cycled from different relationships I have been blessed to create. Whether it is is thrifting with friends, meeting a stranger for tea cups and bones, or simple a gift from a kind hearted soul; everything you see has touched me in some way and I hope you enjoy it, as much as it has brought happiness to me.
Thanks for taking the time to read this… XOXO - The Wolf
